Capture-the-Flag is a team game where each side tries to capture the other flag, while defending their own flag from falling prey to the enemy. If the flag is successfully captured, it must be carried unless the opposite team succeeds to hold it back. Particularly, in this contest, to capture the flag means to intrude the computer of another team. The more the team spends time in the opposite camp, the more the team scores, until the opposite team manages to expel the intruders. There are nice prices to win. More on http://www.hack.lu Venue The venue of this year conference will be the Novotel at Luxembourg Kirchberg. All reservation can be done directly with the Hotel by mentioning the name of the conference (hack.lu 2006). Special rates are available. Please see the web site for all the details (http://www.hack.lu/index.php/Venue) Registration As the number of seats is limited, be sure to register early at http://www.hack.lu/index.php/registration. The entrance fee covers all 3 days, along with catering for the lunches. _______________________________________________ Dailydave mailing list Dailydave(a)lists.immunitysec.com http://lists.immunitysec.com/mailman/listinfo/dailydave ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Don't be too proud of the technological terror you have constructed -- D. by Philipp Tiefenbacher 27 Aug '06

27 Aug '06

by Anton Turkowitsch 14 Aug '06

14 Aug '06

Ballbot Out-Balances Two Wheeled Robots
by Magnus 10 Aug '06

10 Aug '06

von interesse? ... "Building two-wheeled balancing robots has become very popular the last few of years. A CMU press release reveals a new balancing robot that may render all those two-wheeled bots obsolete. Ballbot balances on a single round ball, much like an upside down trackball. The tall, 95 pound robot balances dynamically while moving omnidirectionally on most surfaces, including carpet. Ballbot was built by Ralph Hollis and funded by the National Science Foundation. Videos of the robot in action can be found on the Microdynamics Systems Lab website." _________________________________________________________________ Article: * http://robots.net/article/2001.html -- http://shifz.blogspot.com http://magnusthelife.blogspot.com
