Security by Candlelight 2013-01-22 Tue 19:00 CISSP CBK
by Michael Kafka 14 Jan '13

14 Jan '13

Dear friends, Security by Candlelight is resurrected once again. In roughly 3 weeks on Jan 22nd we restart CBC with a series of meetings. Our Topic is the Certified Information Systems Security Professional Common Body of Knowledge or short CISSP CBK. Everyone is invited who has serious ambitions to go through several thousands of pages and is willing to work and learn hard. Our meetings are intended as a study-group or workshop to cover the detailed foundations of information security. You can forward this also to friends who are not member at the metalab, it might be a good reason to join us! If you are interested please visit and *read*: https://metalab.at/wiki/Security_by_Candlelight/CISSP and prepare yourself at least by downloading the creative commons material and browsing through the first one or two chapters. I would appreciate if interested people sent me a short notice so that I have an idea, how many will attend (I need to buy cookies!). Regards, MiKa

by Rene.Schickbauer＠magnapowertrain.com 03 Jan '13

03 Jan '13

Hi!

MLOC.JS Javascript Conference in Budapest
by Raffael Kemenczy 28 Dez '12

28 Dez '12

Hallo! Diese Javascript-Konferenz findet vom 14.-16. Februar in Budapest statt: http://mloc-js.com/ "The event isn't gonna be huge, rather hard core." Es gibt einen Early Bird Price Coupon: VIENNA >>> How to scale JavaScript development? Things have changed. Today JS is not the add-some-animation-to-my-website language anymore. It's the language of the web. On the client, on the server, on the mobile, everywhere. But let's face it: JS still has challenges in large scale application, like 1 million lines of code apps, aka 1mloc apps or with multiplatform development. What if we don't write JS, but we use it as an assembly language? Javascript as a runtime environment? mloc.js presents talks and workshops for advanced developers about challenges of building and maintaining large and complex applications in JS. Special focus on: generating JS from compiled languages multiplatform development using JS as a runtime environment programming paradigms for safer, faster, more productive development tools The event isn't gonna be huge, rather hard core. We try to invite everyone who generates javascript, or works on multiplatform toolchains or knows about the internals of VMs. Propose a talk if you have any idea. <<< LG Raffael Kéménczy raffael(a)kemenczy.at www.kemenczy.at
