Hey everyone, A friend of mine is looking for a second hand notebook for around euro 150 - 200. Should be more or less fast and have 2-4GB RAM. Let me know if anybody wants to sell something like that. Thanks, Chris

It's always suspicious when someone's asking on behalf of their "friend" ;) Have you tried Willhaben already? There many laptops that fit your description. Try it out - http://goo.gl/m0Zgp

Does it make sense to buy something used, when a new one is eg. 211? http://geizhals.at/?cat=nb&xf=12_2048&sort=p I'd think the warranty alone would be worth that money.
All, thanks for the feedback. I'll point him to the new ones on Geizhals. This friend did check willhaben.at and there are plenty, but asked me to post here because metalab might possibly more trustworthy. Sergii: I'm curious -- why do you perceive asking on behalf of a friend as suspicious / negative? On Tue, Jan 3, 2012 at 7:37 PM, Philipp Marek <philipp@marek.priv.at> wrote:

No, I didn't mean it that way. There's a joke about this when a man comes to a urologist and tries to get a consultation stating that this his friend who actually has a problem. So then the urologist answers by a asking a man to get down his pants and show him that "friend". Jokes aside, I would say that Willhaben is pretty trustworthy. But Cyberport (who offers these ultra-cheap laptops) is cool as well. Make sure that you pass this information to your friend. ;)
Heh, well thanks for explaining what my missing sense of humour could not. That's why I'm never invited anywhere! :P PS: Will pass on the info about cyberport. On Tue, Jan 3, 2012 at 9:23 PM, Sergii Kauk <sergii@kauk.at> wrote:
