Hurra - über Resizable BAR steht ja was im Config.pdf verdächtigte Stelle in der Logdatei: ## line 771 ... 778 of opencore-2025-10-20-060256.txt 36:360 00:045 OCAK: Patching invalid size 8F000 with FBC000 for com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily 36:388 00:027 OCAK: Patching invalid size 4000 with 2A1A000 for com.apple.driver.AppleBusPowerController 36:415 00:027 OCAK: Patching invalid size 19000 with 26F1000 for com.apple.driver.AppleSMC 36:445 00:029 OCAK: Patching invalid size 3000 with A48000 for com.apple.driver.watchdog 36:474 00:028 OCAK: Patching invalid size 2000 with 1802000 for com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily 36:503 00:029 OCAK: Patching invalid size 29000 with 12DA000 for com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily 36:535 00:032 OCAK: Patching invalid size 4000 with 25A1000 for com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBCommon 36:571 00:035 OCAK: Dependency com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBHostPlatformProperties was not found for kext com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily bevor ich vermutlich 90% der hier Mitlesenden weiter mit Details langweile schlisse ich. Liebe Grüße A. ========= english version ========= Hello everyone, I have not yet been able to achieve my “ambitious” update goals. Anyone who can help me with their expertise is very welcome. Background: Five years ago, I successfully got OC 0.7.4 working with MacOS Big Sur on an Aorus X570 with an AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor—and haven't installed any updates for years. The upgrade to the latest Big Sur version (11.7.10) went smoothly. Now the Opencore upgrade has failed once, but at least there is now an opencore-YY-MM-DD.txt file on the EFI partition, which contains the well-known line 46:330 00:049 AAPL: #[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START] 2025-10-20T11:26:14 As with more mature products, the OC documentation (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/) is very extensive, but it is not always clear which parts are old (i.e., from 2020, possibly changed) and which are current—so it is not entirely clear what needs to be taken into account and what does not. It gets even worse with Google search results in discussion forums. At least I just stumbled across the following statement in https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen_3: • The “Resizable BAR” feature introduced with PCIe 2.0 is available for the first time. Hooray—there's something about Resizable BAR in Config.pdf Suspicious section in the log file ( see above ) Before I bore 90% of the readers here with further details, I'll stop here.
