I have some friends in Kaiserslautern, who may want to follow the event via video-stream, but we had only mediocre results so far using Skype or other video-conferencing tools to connect parties, is icecast a solution here?
this would mean live-streaming, a different issue that recording, but also interesting in this setup.
* we made the experience somewhere else that Skype can produce fantastic beamable image quality (and good sound with almost zero delay). Its only a question of available bandwidth. * we are currently playing around with different hardware, one of which is a sony G50 Videoconference system. It has a streaming encoder by default and produces a QuickTime Stream. It would be great to finally, finally join forces with interested people in Metalab to work on VideoBridges everywhere. This has been an issue since quite a long time. see here: http://www.videobridge.at go to "description". Franz Nahrada
