Yes, it has usb-otg. However, searching the internet you only find people using bluetooth keyboards when connecting their phone to a hdmi screen. I also found forum posts stating, that the micro-usb connector on the adapter is only for power supply. It might however be that a tv with usb-ports loops a mouse to the phone... Trying it out would certainly be the best way to find it out. Is there a hdmi-tv set in the metalab? If it doesn't work I could also try putting the phone in fastboot mode in the metalab (this should work if I manage to shortcut the broken volume buttons). In fastboot mode one could upload a rom with usb debugging enabled. then I could download the data via adb... 2014-08-21 19:40 GMT+02:00 Jakob Riepler <jakob.riepler@gmail.com>:
It should be possible because the HDMI works in parallel to usb (most adapters do have a micro usb connector) assuming the Galaxy nexus has USB otg.

That's actually a great idea! But (without knowing it precisely) I fear that not only the screen but also the "touch" is broken. So, when I connect the phone to an external screen via hdmi (using the usb port), would it be possible to connect a mouse aswell? Searching the internet, I didn't find a clear answer to that question, but it might be impossible...
however, I would love to try it. Are you at metalab some day in the near future?
Best,
Marcel

One idea is to connect it to an external screen with HDMI cable. I have one and can lend it to you for a day.

danke!

danach einfach "adb pull SRV DST" (bsp: "adb pull /sdcard /tmp/")

Liebe Metalabber!
Marcel
