Metamac misses its power cord & mouse
iMac from the library misses its mouse and power cord. Please put it back and never separate them again.
One week has passed but nothing has changed. I saw this computer has been moved around during the holidays but I don't know why and who's responsible for the loss of the accessories. However, the mouse is my personal item and the sticker on it clearly says that it cannot be borrowed. So if it doesn't appear by the end of this week I will consider it stolen. Power cord was found in Whateverlab. Mighty Mouse is still missing.
Is Mighty Mouse the pink one? Because I saw that its attached to the iMac. I borrowed the pink mouse for 30 minutes a few days ago, but I did not move it from the library, and maintained a comfortable "instant reattachment distance" the whole time. Nobody was using the iMac at the time, though if they were, the pink would have been strong with them. ; -- Jay Vaughan

The pink mouse is the one I brought to Metalab. Less likely to get stolen, was the idea. ;) (Not necessarily because it's pink but because EVERYONE WOULD KNOW you stole it.) On 30/01/2013 10:01, Martin Schrrer wrote:

Good point but isn't this called "harm avoidance"? You know when women are using less provocative attire to decrease harassment probability. Although you might argue about how provocative this mouse look is. Anyway, I've found a new Mighty Mouse on Willhaben for the price so ridiculous it didn't make sense to cry for the old one any more. But despite the low cost I would like to ask everyone not to use it (and the keyboard) apart from library iMac. This is the third Mighty Mouse AFAIK (and second purchased by me) and it would be really good if it lasted for a long time. There're plenty other keyboard and mices in Metalab so please keep the only public computer in working condition. Thanks in advance.

just found the mighty mouse beneath the blue drawer cabinet @ WEL As the iMac has been used by s/o (not to be revealed) for 3d printing and not brought back, the machine sat around on this cabinet for some time. Having two of them, we might be faced with addition to the family

I'm not surprised. Always thought everything that disappears in Metalab actually stays lying in the corner somewhere. Thanks for following-up on that!
