I've developed a bunch of apps on Facebook. This code here f.e. has been used as Armin Wolf asked his FB fans for TED talk recommendations. I've typed it within some minutes and I'm sure it is not optimized. -> Just let me know, what you need as an output. RSS, a Textfile, eMails? FB also provides a technology called Realtime Update Subscriptions. So as soon as I know what we need I can simply hack something called Facebook App which one of the admins of the Metalab Facebook Page has to accept. That's it. YMMD! I guess some day I'll be ready for the shell. (yes, I had to do some work on shells, but I won't say I've really understood more than the code I've googled for to fulfill these tasks). Next step for me is to learn .... Python ... I'm keen on doing "something" with Arduino ... Ich liebe einfach TED und der Output der Wolf'schen Fangemeinde ist ein Genuss. Das Scripterl ist 71 Zeilen lang, berücksichtigt das vermaledeite FB-paging und in meinem Code steckt sicherlich noch Optimierungspotential. Nett wäre jetzt noch, die Youtube Data API einzubinden, um gleich eine Playlist anzulegen, da TED ohnehin einen Youtube Channel hat. Dazu habe ich aber gerade keine Lust. Du? ahhhhh. Obviously I have misunderstood this task. You simply want to read what is shown when people click on a link to something on facebook.com That regular expression wouldn't be that easy as there are several different Tags FB uses depending on the type of information. f.e. a link on FB, a story, a video, an image, a shared image, ... And, FB loves to change it's HTML / CSS pretty often. It is possible but I'm afraid I am too lazy for this. BR, B
