Hey all, Can you give me recommendations for virtual or root server hosting for max. €20 per month? It's just for about 20 websites with low traffic, so not much memory or CPU needed. server4you.de looks quite cheap... anybody got experience with them? Cheers, Chris
hey chris, if you only need it for websites, why dont use just webhosting? i would recommend you my companies hosting at www.easyname.com/hosting . if its not enough for your needs, i could offer you a special metalab price of 20,-- for our root server http://www.nessus.at/produkte/rootserver/m (write you are from the lab when ordering). </sales> greets, flo Von meinem iPhone gesendet

https://uberspace.de/ is really cool. You pay as much as you want (yes, really). On 7 Nov 2013, at 21:50, Chris Hager <chris@linuxuser.at> wrote:

Thank you! I haven't heard of uberspace before & I really like their philosophy to support people who cannot afford to pay the "usual" price to give them a voice in cyberspace. But I strongly recommend Host Europe as they not only use 100% Green Energy to run their business 100% carbon neutral but furthermore support the plant-a-tree programme. Their prices also meet your needs. https://www.hosteurope.de/en/Host-Europe/Verantwortung/ https://www.hosteurope.de/de/Server/ https://www.hosteurope.de/de/WebHosting/ Comparison site: http://www.webhostlist.de/ BR, B
Yes yes, please guys, promote an anonymous mass hoster in a five eyes country instead of the local, small business, metalab sponsoring hoster who's already offered to meet practically any price provided you mention that you're from the lab. That makes total sense, don't let anybody tell you differently! *facepalm* 2013/11/8 Benjamin Klemencic <benjamin@klemencic.org>

I would be also interested in different Austrian providers, not only german ones! The big german companies are always cheaper, but I don't mind a small difference in price if I can support local companies. On 11/08/2013 10:23 AM, Philip Poten wrote:

Hi, server4you.de has a strange pricing policy. If you live outside of Germany they will redirect you to server4you.net. You'll see same prices but now they are excl. USt. could make a difference when comparing prices :) mfg Alex Am 08.11.13 11:02, schrieb Wolfgang Trexler:

hi. i also have a virtual server at edis.at. they're actually really cheap (from 3 euro i think, if you don't expect too much, but for sure also bigger packages). they also have full virtualization via kvm, so you don't have to struggle with the problems you may have with virtuozzo, which most providers are using (server4you included, thats why i left them). i tried to set up a vpn - almost impossible as the provider has to load kernel modules for you, and also not everything is supported. (or they're just too lazy to make it work!?) i was looking a lot for full virtualized servers. it's almost nowhere available for a decent price. for the 9 euros i'm paying it's really a good offer i think, and almost nowhere available. i was quite happy when i found it. also, they provide "real" dedicated servers from 30 euro! you also can choose from a lot of locations, also offshore (costs 1 euro more i think). lg, j On 11/07/2013 09:50 PM, Chris Hager wrote:
