One example is creating a global picture of real-time traffic condition on a large area by aggregating limited knowledge from a large number of anonymous users with GPS enabled cell phones, sometimes called Citizen Science. One of the main projects of the team at this time is to design incentive schemes that give reward to participants. Research issues include (but are not limited to): incentive mechanism design, user privacy, and data integrity.
