Anschließend gibt es Platz für Lightning Talks, wo Besucher aktuelle Unternehmungen und Vorhaben vorstellen können, sowie ein Buffet und gemütliches Ambiente für Diskussion und Austausch. Heute, Freitag, den 7. März 2010, 19:30 (Beginn 20:00) im Metalab, Rathausstrasse 6, 1010 Wien – Eintritt frei --> http://metalab.at/wiki/Metaday_31 Metaday #31: The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement What does ACTA mean, what's the history and how it will affect the internet as we know and use it today. This is an interesting story about the fight for the control of the tubez. The confusing term intellectual property is being exploited to profit a few companies while also negatively impacting access to medicines in 3rd world countries. There's lots of ACTA related activities going on in the european community, which you might be interested to hear about. Speaker: stef is one of the more vocal member of the Hungarian Autonomous Center for Knowledge (H.A.C.K.) a hackerspace in Budapest. A short intro of our hacks should be a nice prelude to the upcoming party on the 28th @H.A.C.K. and later @Stadtflucht3. == Lightning Talks == Lightning Talks sind Kurzvorträge. Hier sollen aktuelle Ideen, Projekte, und vor allem Work-in-Progress vorgestellt werden. (Selbst auf der Wiki-Seite eintragen!) Mai 2010 // Journey to the End of the Night (19:00; Start @ Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark) Freies Street Game aus dem Metalab-Umfeld: " Quite frankly we are talking about an outdoor game of epic proportions. This year about 600 people are expected to race through the streets of Vienna through a series of checkpoints as quickly and as stealthily as possible, while avoiding being caught by "chasers". The first player to reach the endpoint without being tagged is the winner, though anyone who survives is deservedly praised and feted at the end. Those who fall become chasers themselves, rising to pursue their former friends and allies.
