kleiner Formfaktor/mini-ITX/Embedded System - suche Erfahrungswerte
Hi! LG Christian

Funkfeuer is, AFAIK, doing a fair bit of Mini-ITX hosting. I would guess there being some knowledge of suitable hardware floating around there. -Marius

Yes, that what also came to my mind. However, i didn't want to intrude their mailinglist with my OT-question ;-) And i think there are some 0xff-members on this list too...
Hi, most of the ITX boards at funkfeuer housing are not out-of-the box systems but mini-itx boards mounted in ITX or even ATX cases, it's not the form factor but the power consumption. But afaik ditech.at got some nice and pretty small out-of-the-box hardware, but if you want PCI or PCIe slots i don't think you will get around assemling the hardware yourself. Suhffle-PC-alike Computers might be an alternative. Greetings, Clemens Am Donnerstag 17 März 2011, um 15:44:37 schrieb Christian Benke:

A SSD certainly helps your uptime and the robustness of the system, but a good one will maybe cost as much or more as the rest of the system. I guess you know that, hth, -- teemu t. schaabl

I got one of these ditech systems:
teemu@monitor:~$ uptime 9:47AM up 312 days, 20:02, 1 user, load averages: 0.30, 0.20, 0.17
Are you talking about these boxes?: http://www.ditech.at/artikel/MPCE2H2/PC-System_-_dimotion_Micro_E2H2.html No PCI-Slots according to the specs :-( And i was hoping for something less shiny and media-centric, rather industry-grade with a spartanic exterior and "relevant" interior. But it looks like i'm on the right path by looking for "Industrial PCs" and "embedded systems": http://www.lannerinc.com/Embedded___Industrial_Computing/Embedded_Computers http://www.contec.com/product/computer/index.html http://www.directindustry.de/industrie-hersteller/industrie-pcs-arbeitsstati...
